Snow, Bike & Brew: Fat Tire Biking to Elk Lake Resort

Fat tire bike into Elk Lake Resort from Dutchman Sno-Park near Mt. Bachelor. Then curl up by the fire with a Deschutes Brewery “Jubelale.” Savor the next two nights in a wild yet comfortable winter setting with plenty to do. Fat tire bike in the wilderness surrounding the resort, snowshoe (available to rent), cross country ski (bring your own) or get cozy in the lodge with a full-service restaurant and bar. This is a family-friendly adventure with activities for kids and educational fireside talks in the evenings. Rustic yet warm cabins sleep six to eight with private rooms and common kitchens and living areas.

Cost: $395/adults & kids 12 and older; $195/kids 5-11; $95/kids 5 and under. Registration fee includes two nights’ lodging, two breakfasts and lunches, sno-cat shuttle, snow park permit, natural history presentation, guided birding & conifer walk, snow photography workshop, and hands-on activities for kids. Dinners, snowshoe rentals and bike rentals are an additional charge.
