5 Day Portland Bike Rental
I rented a bike from Everybody's Bike Rentals & Tours as I was coming in town for the WTF Bikexplorers Summit located about an hour outside of the city (by car). I called the shop 6-8 weeks in advance to inquire about renting a bike and to get details on their sizing and inventory. Jonathan, not only gave me a run down of the bikes, but offered to take pictures and bike measurements so I could ensure that my bags fit. I took him up on the offer, and he delivered photos and measurement within the hour. The bike also came with a seat bag which included all the necessary tools for any bike adjustments and repairs. Jonathan was super responsive to my many calls in advance to getting into town, and super helpful throughout the entire process. I loaded the bike up with all of my gear and rode it through the woods of Oregon and had the best time. I'll definitely rent with them again next time I am in town. ALSO: amazing inventory of bikes at great rates. All the other shops were uber pricey with less amazing customer service.
Knowledgeable, friendly staff
I rented a bike for a long-haul tour around the Mt. Hood wilderness. The knowledgeable, friendly folks at Everybody made sure I had all the right gear for the overnights and steep climbs. Can't wait to borrow again.
Why can't all businesses be this good?
It was a busy weekend in Portland when I went to rent an "elite" bicycle from Everybody's. There was a bridge ride that I had nothing to do with. My plan was to do what I always do, but far away from the city and far away from my own bike. I brought my own pedals (elites often do this, BYW) and they were attached to the bike. I had a quick fitting and I was good to go. I didn't actually take the bike at that time. I just wanted to reserve it before the bridge ride group. When I showed up the following day, I greeted by name as I walked in. Two days and many, many miles later, I returned the bike. Again I was greeted by name and immediately I was told that I 'probably needed those pedals removed'. In the meantime, we were told that every bike, and that's probably 60 or more of them by my guess had been rented out that weekend. So Everybody's had been swamped with business, and yet they offered superb service. I can't say enough. Great job, guys!
Everybody's hooked us up! We biked from Seattle to Astoria to Portland
Jonathan and co at Everybody's Bike Rentals took great care of us. I, along with four other friends from all over the US and abroad, descended on Portland for a week-long bicycle camping excursion. Everybody's was super helpful getting us set up on well-maintained touring bikes. They not only took care of us, but did their best to accommodate last minute changes. For example, three days before we were supposed to arrive, I called to see if we could add one more touring bike to our party. Even though they didn't have an extra touring bike on such short notice, they went through the trouble of building a bike that could hold bags and handle the trip from Seattle to Portland. Only one minor hiccup with a bike. Before leaving town, one of the racks came loose. I popped back to the store, and they fixed it without issue (not to mention they were super apologetic). We had a very positive experience with Everybody's, and had such a great trip because of all of their help! Thanks for taking care of us!
I'm an avid cyclist and rented a bike for an out of town visitor - I was impressed with the quality of the bikes (15 lb carbon Fuji with Chorus Campagnolo drive train easily kept pace during a local group ride at 20 mph). Sent in bike fit measurements ahead of time and bike was well maintained and fully set up for a perfect fit when I went to pick it up. Prices are much better than local bike shops and staff is knowledgeable and helpful. Highly recommended.
