Dock side hole in the wall seafood shack with baskets, sandwiches, and soups. Right in old Bandon. Pricey but worth it. Cooked to order. If the weather is good you can eat outside.
An institution if you like the freshest crab in town with no frills. Tony’s started life as a tackle & bate shop in the harbour. They boil your caught crab for $1 or boil and clean for $2. We stopped for an early lunch. Crab sandwich on toasted sourdough was heavenly - no messing about - no mayo just crab and shredded lettuce … very generous. My partner had a tuna melt with fresh albacore tuna - delicious and filling. So happy we made the stop on our Washington to California road trip.
Fantastic seafood right off the boats! I ordered the clam chowder and 1/2 Dungeness crab for a late lunch. I got there at the right time as I only had to wait a few minutes for the couple ahead of me to place their order. I got found a nice seat outside and they brought the beer and meal to me. The staff were very friendly and helpful and although it’s a buss the table yourself, the young lady saw me struggling to stand (I’m 100% disabled with the VA) and she jumped right in to help! The crab was perfectly cooked and chowder was delicious! I made a note to come back if in the area. It’s the first time in a decade where the crab was perfectly cooked; not mushy or burnt. The surprise was the price, but I can’t find decent seafood in Arizona.
Stopped on the way to Gold Beach. We had the steamers, prawn shrimp and a crab cake for appetizer’s, and had the fresh local rock cod tacos. Everything was excellent. Everything was fresh and so tasty.…..you do have to go up to the counter to place your order. If you do order wine, it does come in a plastic cup, but I didn’t mind food was so delicious. Saw a lot of people bringing their fresh caught crabs in to get cleaned and cooked. Would love to go back and go crabbing too! Was a great stop!
Most delicious halibut sandwich ever! Bread was fresh, lettuce crisp, tomatoes juicy. Even though they were very busy, the staff was friendly, and the service was great.
