The second longest running bar in the Pacific Northwest! A longtime staple in downtonwn La Grande, for sampling a vast array of beers as well as for it’s satisfying pub-style food which features classic burgers, steaks, seafood and pastas. Top-notch appetizers such as nachos and hot-wings provide the perfect snacks for watching your favorite sports team. Homemade soups are made fresh daily and feature clam chowder every Friday.
Benchwarmers has added a growler refill station too.

We had a great time and fantastic service from Hanna. The food was wonderful. Side note I have severe allergies and Hanna was amazing telling me about each ingredient. It isn't often I get that kind of service. Thank you benchwarmers and Hanna.
Didn’t even look at TripAdvisor before going to find a place to eat (but definitely had to get on TripAdvisor afterwards!) Just drove into the heart of downtown LaGrande, OR and found this bar with a decent beer menu, a bartender that made drinks like they should be made and an awesome bar food menu. On the menu...something I thought I’d only find in my own home...premium bacon, served in a basket with...wait for it...a side of warm maple syrup for dipping. OMG! AND, the bacon was cooked to perfection. All of this was a very nice find, but what made the experience a 5 out of 5? Our waitress, Hanna. She was personable, friendly, timely in her service and made our entire time at Benchwarmers something we will remember for a very long time with smiles on our faces. Thank you, Hanna.
It was a nice warm place to visit. I ordered their halibut and instead of fries I asked if I could have mozzarella cheese sticks .. and that was perfectly cooked which is hard do to .. cook either to long and you have cook them in just seconds .. and under cook in also just seconds ... I was made to feel welcome.... the place is also really clean.. which for me is a huge plus. I think the prices are a bit different then listed on here .. but I was totally happy with my total of 13.00 for 4 nice fish and 6 cheese sticks ... I hope to bring in my husband next time we are in town ....
Good beer selection. Too many TV's and really loud obnoxious music. But the hummus plate was good. Also had gyros with a side salad. Good stuff. Very casual.
Really super good food! I had the halibut and it was soo good. My husband had the Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich which was excellent.
