We took a family trip to visit the tulips for our son's birthday. Though the weather wasn't the best (a slight drizzle near the beginning), it was still delightful to see all of the tulips, old farm machinery, etc.
I thought I had to go to Holland to hit this bucket list item, but Wooden Shoe Tulip farm was everything I could have hoped for and more! The miles of tulips, the colors, the attention to detail with the bridge, tractor, windmills, wooden shoes etc. for pictures, made this girls dreams come true. I am so impressed with the colors, the design of the layout, even the shopping experience were all top notch. Thank you for a wonderful day, many amazing pictures, and a huge smile on my face!
This was nice for a day trip if the weather is good. Could be muddy and miserable or raining. Family friendly farm and dogs are allowed on leash. Beautiful flowers the day we went. They had various food vendors ( think county fair) and small rides for the kids. It did not impress me as much as the gardens outside of Amsterdam, but still very nice. Would be nice if they put more areas within the fields for portrait taking. We did see people walking into the flower areas for photos which is not allowed.
We went on a blustery March day and had a great time. Be sure to gear up: good solid (tall) rain boots and rain gear. It wasn't raining when we arrived, but it was pouring by the time we left. Still enjoyed the beauty of the flowers and the spirit of the workers. SO BEAUTIFUL!
Just so beautiful. What a wonderful feast for the eyes and lots of photo ops. The Dutch theme runs through out and a tram provides a lift to the blooms. planning on going again in April 2024.
