Delicious dinner
We were looking for a great place to grab a burger so we made our way to this brewery. The place can be a bit noisy but has a wonderful and welcoming atmosphere. We sat down at a high top and placed our orders for a pork belly sandwich and a burger. It didn't take long at all to get our food and both dishes were excellent. The pork belly was perfect and I would definitely get it again the next we go there. Just a great dinner from beginning to end.

Great Brew & Food in a Potentially Loud Atmosphere
Not my favorite dinner environment...very large, high ceilings and can be very noisy, as there's little to absorb sound. But hey! it's a brew house with food. We were there in January, so I bet in summertime it can get really crazy. of course the brew selection was pretty decent, though I was disappointed that they offered no Porters...just a stout. My wife and I both had their Sea n' Red ale ($7 ea.). Ticket says our server was Lyssy and she was fantastic. We talked with her about her family, Cannon Beach, and lots of other stuff. My wife had the beer battered fish & chips ($23.99) which she said was tasty, but she prefers the lighter Panko coating. I had the huge serving of lemony, saucy Chicken Piccata served with crispened capers and spaghetti ($29.99). Man! was it good. I was in Piccata heaven. Not a drop left on my plate. I'd be delighted to return and order this again.

Get the clam chowder!
We loved Pelican Brewing when we went there in Pacific City a couple of years ago and were excited to see they were in Cannon Beach too. Their clam chowder is one of all time greats and we were happy that it was fantastic as we remember. It beat Mo’s and Norma’s clam chowders this trip.

Save Your Money
It’s a Sunday evening…greeted by a lukewarm hostess and a flunky in training who, like most 20 somethings these days, has no ability to communicate, period. Server arrives, doesn’t introduce herself. Ordered drinks and they came in a timely manner. Order an appetizer (crab dip) and the rest of our meal, but specifically ask our server (Ms. Anonymous) to make sure that the courses arrive as courses should…not all together….appetizer arrives with the soup (clam chowder)…Flag down Ms. Anonymous about the disorder, but instead of taking the soup away and acknowledging the errors, says “well he said ‘to start with’”…Ummm if you understand meal courses, ya know that soup isn’t typically an appetizer (at least it’s not listed as such on their menu...). Crab appetizer had a minimal crab portion ratio to wonton cracker, but flavorful. Clam chowder was bland, and while we tried to get salt and pepper, we never could get the attention of anyone, let alone our server, to help save it. Our entrees were a house salad with salmon added and the Dungeness crab ravioli. Let’s start with the ravioli. It was tasty but literally a plate full of ravioli…that’s it… Oh but the salmon salad. 🤦♀️The pieces of lettuce (endive, arugula) were so large that they covered the entire plate! It was literally an exercise in wresting lettuce! The salmon was over-cooked and therefore flavorless. All in all so very disappointing but hey, that’s what you get for ordering what could be an elevated meal at a burger joint.
