Head to The Dalles for the 42nd Northwest Cherry Festival! A longtime favorite among locals and visitors alike, the festival is set in the spectacular Columbia River Gorge and showcases The Dalles’ deep agricultural heritage and Western roots. The Cherry Festival has grown in attendance, outdoor market, family-friendly activities, FUN, and 2024 is going to be even better! “This is a celebration of the blossoms, which have always been an indication of the harvest to come,” said The Dalles Chamber of Commerce President Lisa Farquharson. “We are super excited, as we are the largest per capita, sweet cherry producer, here in The Dalles, Oregon.”

This year’s theme is “Cherries on Broadway”; picture a bustling Broadway setting, adorned with the luscious red hues of cherries, as we invite you to join us in a celebration that blends the sweetness of cherries with the glitz and glamour of Broadway.

“Cherries on Broadway” brings forth a fusion of two worlds – the delightful charm of cherries and the dazzling lights of Broadway. This theme invites you to experience the magic of cherries in the heart of the city, creating a tapestry of flavors, colors, and entertainment.

The Northwest Cherry Festival takes place in downtown The Dalles from Friday, April 19th through Sunday, April 21st, 2024. The festival includes the Gorge’s largest parade, the KODL classic car show, events and activities, and lots of local music and bands. You don’t want to miss the crowning of Cherry Festival Royalty, including our Little Royals, at Mid-Columbia Senior Center’s Breakfast Saturday Morning before the parade!
