This show has no material, only once-in-a-lifetime moments crafted just for you by the best of LA’s Idiot Workshop. Kevin will improvise his little heart out, with the singular purpose of pleasing the audience. John Gilkey will hold him accountable and make shapes from the chaos.
Kevin arrived in Los Angeles in 2009 without training or talent, armed only with a heart of gold. Kevin didn’t begin as a show. He began as a student of John Gilkey’s Idiot Workshop. At first, he was paying, and then he was not. Then he was a cast member, then a teacher, then, like a flash of light, a show directed by John Gilkey.
John Gilkey is the Founder and Creative Director of The Idiot Workshop. He has performed internationally for more than thirty-five years in circus, variety, comedy clubs, theater and television.
Kevin Krieger is the Managing Director of The Idiot Workshop. The LA Times calls him “a fixture of the LA clown scene.” Kevin and John have collaborated for over a decade.
