The resilience of Korean women is on full display in the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art’s "Graceful Fortitude" exhibit. With more than 2,000 years of Confucian influence, women were often designated to a lower status in society, yet overcame many obstacles to call for equal rights. An inspiration for many women-centered movements in Korea has been and continues to be art created by women to depict their lives, struggles and joys. Paintings, prints, photographs, sculpture, ceramics, textiles, lacquer, furniture and personal adornments from the 12th through 21st century will be on display.
