The Freadom Festival

The Freadom Festival returns to Portland’s Peninsula Park for its second year.

This annual event includes a community book swap, Multnomah County library card sign up, children’s reading hour, author talks, raffles, giveaways and more.

A core tenet of the Freadom Festival is the belief that reading and books should be inclusive and accessible. Which is why this event is free and open for all to come and learn the importance of Juneteenth, grow in fellowship with a community of book lovers, support Black-owned businesses, receive reading resources, and celebrate literacy and liberation.
