Bring the whole family and head to The Dalles for the 40th Annual Northwest Cherry Festival. A longtime favorite among locals and visitors alike, the festival is set in the spectacular Columbia River Gorge and showcases The Dalles’ deep agricultural heritage. This year’s festival theme is “Follow the Cherry Brick Road.”
The three action-packed days include numerous family-friendly events, including the Gorge’s largest parade – featuring the Cherry Festival Royalty with King Bing and Queen Anne, who are crowned that morning – a classic car show, a lip sync contest and great local music. There’s also cherry sampling with the Oregon Cherry Growers and a carnival with fun rides for all, plus an orchard job fair for the upcoming season.
The Dalles is just 75-minutes from Portland and Yakima, 2.5 hours’ drive from Bend and the Tri Cities.
