The Oregon East Symphony’s 2022-2023 Concert Season will conclude on Saturday, June 10th, 2023, with Dr. Benson conducting Richard Strauss’s massive tone poem “Ein Heldenleben”, which chronicles a hero’s struggle between the individual and his outer and inner worlds, and the profundity of domestic love. Also to be performed is American composer Quinn Mason’s “Immerse”, a study in texture and the blending of timbral qualities of the different families of instruments.
