You have two choices of 35 or 52 miles east on the scenic bikeway along shaded rivers and rollicking rapids. You begin cruising leisurely along Faraday Road, North Fork Lake and east where the waters begin to quicken and the rafts and kayaks bob among the frothy waters at Carter Bridge, home to the Northwest’s largest whitewater festival that occurs each May. For a cedar lined mountain stream choose the Fish Creek spur and turn right for 1.5 miles along this steelhead hideaway. Or choose to follow the bikeway through spectacular overviews of the Narrows, past the mountain community of Three Lynx and then make a stiff mile climb to the Ripplebrook store. Having arrived your work is done, pedal easily back to Estacada for a meal and beverage in a restaurant of your choice.
