Tune up your road bikes for GEARS’ 21st annual Blackberry bRamble cycling event, this year with new routes through the scenic Willamette Valley and even more fun at the finish line. This event has long been known for wonderful routes through the rolling hills of Oregon Wine Country, extraordinary food at rest stops, reliable support and signature blackberry pie and ice cream at post-race festivities.
Choose between the 37-mile Camas Country Loop, the 64-mile Veneta Clear Lake Metric Century, the 80-mile North Winery Tour, the 102-mile Wolf Creek Classic Century and the 117-mile Epic that has over a mile of elevation change. All of the routes have climbs, flats and rollers to make for an interesting and enjoyable ride.
At the finish line, Carte Blanche will cater a gourmet meal with blackberry cobbler and Prince Puckler’s Ice Cream for dessert, a microbrew from Claim 52 Brewing, live music, vendor booths and more, all of which are included in the ticket price. Rides start from 6:15 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in descending order of the length of ride. The post-ride party is held next door to Hilyard Community Center at the Amazon Center with festivities starting at noon.
