Lovely place, great wine and food. Everyone very friendly and helpful. We sat inside but all doors were open so had an outdoor feel. Walked the path when do e really nice garden setting.
Very Poor Customer Service
Given the number of nice wineries around, I would not recommend this winery. Very poor customer service! We arrived about 45 minutes earlier than the time of our reservation which was for a party of 4. My sister and her husband were coming from LA. The manager would not allow us to even have a glass of wine before my sister’s arrival unless the 90 minutes time limit start from the time we are served. There was plenty of room. They were just so incredibly inflexible. What a joke!
Great wine and food
The group lunch in the private room was truly a highlight of the trip. The room rent was waived, saving us $100 at the start. While enjoying the flight of wines at the counter, we were totally surprised by the presence of my two sisters who came here from San Francisco just to join us here and in Salem. With the facemask, she didn't register at first when this "stranger" approached me and started talking. Given several entrees, I chose the fresh cod paired by a not-so-dry Riesling. Yummy at $37. The private room was perfect for louder-than-usual conversations. We were all seated at one long table. Thank you, Brooks Wine.
Still Awesome - Our 2nd visit as good as the initial one
We visited Brooks in 2017 and fell in love with the story and wines. We visited again in early October and liked this place even more. We had the wonderful fortune of being served by the daughter of the previous owner that sold the vineyard to Brooks. The two families are so intertwined and you can feel it in her voice as she talks about the history and the wines. It's this passion that made us love the place during our last visit. Brooks added a new feature in 2018. They have a chef on staff. You can order restaurant quality food and pair it with your wines. The food was so good especially the Fall Squash soup. We joined Brooks wine club this time around. I look forward to getting their fantastic wines year round back here in Texas. Here are the six wineries we visited and our ranking: 1. Brooks 2. Beaux Freres 3. Shea 4. Roco 5. Trisaetum 6. Stoller
Don't Miss These Wines and This Winery
Brooks Winery has really amazing wines - I really enjoyed everything I tasted. Zachary was fantastic to talk with - very knowledgeable and welcoming. The ambience of the tasting room was so relaxing and tranquil, and the outdoor deck in the back allows for beautiful viewing - such a panorama! I could have sat there all day. I also enjoyed quite a delicious lunch from the renowned chef. Bon appetit!
