We were faithful patrons of the old diner-version of The Spoon and are now delighted to dine at The Spoon Sushi. We are hopeful there will one day be a lively back patio environment like in the recent years past. Getting takeout from here is a dream. The owners are lovely humans and are churning out a handcrafted local product. We've had their tempura, miso soup, sashimi, and sushi. All of it was tasty and a fair price for the ingredients they use. Thank you Spoon Sushi owners for giving the good folks of Langlois a local eatery to call their own. We appreciate you!
Had lunch, 2 rolls - one was shrimp tempura, 6 pieces, the other a spicy tuna, also 6 pieces. Presentation was totally lacking, which is why I rated as not Japanese. The seaweed around my tuna roll pieces did not go all the way around. Cost was high considering its fast food nature. Next day I went to another restaurant, had the exact same thing that gave me a larger serving for $3.00 less, better presentation. Although the flavor was okay at sushi spoon it was not as good as the other. As a local I already pay more then elsewhere in Oregon. Would be nice to get a break.
This is one great restaurant. Sushi was yummy and the steamed pot stickers so delicious. Entree of rockfish over rice with coconut sauce was perfectly prepared. It may not look like much from the side of the road, but we were disappointed to not be able to go back the next day again. It is a must stop if you are in the area. Golfers, take a break from Bandon Dunes and head down south 25 minutes for great food!
The Spoon Sushi opened in December 2020. Headed to West Coast Safari and wanted to eat first. Saw this and thought we would try it. It was excellent. Daughter got the California roll, I got Gluten Free Tempura Shrimp (didn’t get a pic until I had already eaten a few pieces), other daughter got Beef Teriyaki and husband got Beef Ramen. We all loved our meals. Ate outside and the staff was so friendly. Would definitely recommend, quality and quantity excellent. We are talking about going back once more before our vacation is over.
We found this gem while on a trip down the Oregon coast and loved it! If I lived in the area I would definitely be a regular as I can appreciate a place dedicated to making delicious food using local ingredients. My linguica breakfast was excellent and filling. I loved that they used plates with the familiar orange flowery pattern around the edge, if you are a child of the 70s-80s you know what I am talking about! The coffee was from a local roaster and was fantastic! There is also a patio area and a nice little beer selection for live music events. Very cozy little place with friendly service!
