Quick bite for lunch
fairly small place with the bar under construction so their draft beer didn't exist when we were there. You order at the bar and wait for a table. Their Oyster starters were awesome and cooked just right. Clam chowder - not a fan. Husband's burger was good and Onion Rings were too
Very bland food my last trip
I used to love shark bites, but our last trip in March of 22, the environment has changed, feels less like a dining experience, with having to stand in line to order. Also the halibut was very bland, only good part were the fries.
We had two excellent lunches here. It was so good the first time we went the next day before we left town. Highly recommend the popcorn shrimp, cod fish and chips, and calamari. All were delicious with a light crisp batter so you enjoyed the taste of the seafood not the batter. The fresh cut French fries were also amazing. We’ll definitely go back next time we’re in coos bay.
Casual Restaurant in Downtown
You order at the counter then seat yourself and food is delivered. Food is good...we tried the halibut fish and chips, clam chowder and small house salad. The fish and chips were good. The chowder tasted delicious but unfortunately was mostly broth with little in the way of clams or potatoes. The small salad was very generous...large enough to share. We spent a week on the coast and sadly this was the only restaurant we visited where the staff was not complying with the statewide mask mandate. Only half of the employees we saw were wearing masks.
Great food. Great service.
We came to Sharkbites on vacation. They went out of their way to satisfy us. I asked for a sandwich variation that wasn't on the menu and they gladly satisfied my request. I asked for a blackened halibut sandwich. Their fries are great. Fresh cut. My son had the calamari strips, my wife the fish and chips and my Dad the blackened halibut salad.
