Rudy’s Steakhouse was established in 1998 and features gold-medal winning steaks that are aged and hand cut in house.
Absolutely incredible experience.
Wow, that is all I can say about this place. Our hotel recommended Rudy’s for us and I’m so glad they did. We were seated at the bar and got incredible service for the entire night. The cocktails were spot on, the food was delicious and their bourbon selection is one of the best I have ever seen! Highly recommend if you’re in the Salem area, make the trip.
I'd say this is the best steakhouse in town
Nowadays, most restaurants are closed at like 9pm, so if you're passing by town late, there aren't many options to eat at. This is the perfect place to eat, in the late night and just because it's the best steak in the immediate area of Salem. You can even catch live music on some nights and you'll see a nice gathering of people who eat there. We ate here almost every other night so I just ran through the menu. Pretty good all around including the very attentive service!
When we arrived, on a busy Saturday night, it was a festive atmosphere humming with people. There was an issue with our reservation but the manager/owner explained the error and personally gave us two options to solve the problem. He kindly let us decide and personally ushered us to the table. He checked on us twice during our meal (and trust me, he was a busy busy man) . Our waitress was excellent and the food was superb. Great evening...Thanks Rudy's. See you again.
My son and I stopped in after visiting someone in hospital. Every one hopeful and gracious. Food great had steak and lobster. Amazing plus some. Really good date place. Really delightful out side in garden area lights heaters and good food. They have it all.
A large group of us came for dinner on a Friday night. The restaurant itself was really classy and nice. The bread was warm when it arrived and the butter had herbs and garlic and it was delicious. The service was a little on the slower side but we were a bigger group so it was expected. The food took about an hour to come out. I got a filet mignon with béarnaise sauce and ordered it medium rare. It came out RAW. My knife could barely cut through the center because it was still that blueish purple color. Myself and someone else in my group had the same problem so we both sent them back, waited about 15 minutes to re cook them and when they arrived we cut back into them and they were bloody rare. We didn’t bother sending them back again because I can eat a rare steak I just prefer medium rare. The asparagus was 4 pieces and came steamed, lukewarm and no seasoning. The baked potato was the best part of the meal but honestly how can you mess up a baked potato? Now to the béarnaise sauce, it wasn’t a sauce on the steak like normal. It was served in a cup next to it and it was thick like vanilla pudding and didn’t have a good sauce like consistency and lacked flavor. Overall I really was expecting more from a place that charged $60 for a 8oz cut of steak. I also got “well” vodka and it was Tito’s for $10 a drink. I’m glad I didn’t pay for my meal and my company did or I would have been extremely disappointed. A lot of hype for mediocre quality!
