Worst meal ever!
We took a family member from out of town to lunch this afternoon and went to Dragon Palace for the first time for all of us. The first thing that we noticed was that no one was there when we first arrived besides us. We played that off to the mid-day time. Next, we were given menus that were dirty and falling apart. We had to go look for sugar for the tea on other tables and found a browning sugar container that made the sugar look dirty. We found another one that was clean. It took a while for someone to appear to take our order, literally. We were in the place alone! Not a big deal if the food is good, I thought. Then we had to order tea separately. I thought that tea came with the meal. No really big deal. THEN, the food came. It was SO awful! The egg flour soup was so thick that you could almost hold up a spoon in it! The rice that we all had was so overcooked that we couldn't eat it. Each of us had different choices of food ordered and we ALL left it mostly uneaten. It was honestly the worst food I've ever had in a restaurant. My friend who usually eats anything could not even eat it. It just tasted strange and reheated or something. Please find another place to go eat in Brookings. Khun Thai is very good.

Where’s the spice?
Unfortunately flavorless. Was quick and hot but no spice to my Kung Po Chicken. Might as well been steamed. Also had their pot stickers which were fine.

Delicious
Tasty and worth the price and wait. Huge portions and good service in the town. Everything was good.

Bland
I don't know if they are trying to dumb down their flavor profile for the local palate or what, but, I've NEVER had such bland food in my life and I've eaten in England! We should have known something was wrong when we walked in and smelled nothing. Normally you get the normal Chinese aromatics smell - garlic, ginger, scallions... While the seafood in the seafood Chow Mein was not overcooked as I've found in many Chinese restaurants, it had absolutely no flavor. Same with every other dish. Getting the base aromatics down is the basis of any Chinese cooking and they simply didn't do it. There was simply no flavor. We won't be going back.

Great Menu loved the food
Seated right away, the waitress was kind, considerate, and accommodating. Food was served hot, fresh and Delicious. This place was clean. The prices are reasonable and the helpings are big. Yes we will go back!
