Went in today for the $5 hot german salad. Went home with a quarter cup of potatoes with vinegar poured on it. Never again. Mind you, they were not personable nor outgoing. Not a way to do business. 5$ for 25 cents of potatoes and some vinegar. Shut my mouth. I was completely insulted.
Not that I have anything against bikers, Ibambsure anyone ready to enjoy themselves is welcome here. Roadhouse decor, spotlessly clean. German and metal music playlist is plenty of fun, wide array of German and local beers. But you must try the food, what you hope you'll get at Oktoberfest is served here, perfectly prepared spicing is just right. Everything I tasted I wouldn't change a thing
I mean, this place should be number 1!! The owners are from Moldova and are incredibly nice. The head chef is so cordial and knowledgeable . The kitchen staff is even friendly. And the food and atmosphere is the best….But the ultimate reason to visit is the beer selection!!
We’ve been here several times. The new owners have made some nice changes. The sauerkraut balls are killer good. My wife doesn’t like sauerkraut but she ate half of them. Of all the times we’ve eaten here my only complaint is they don’t always have my favorite beer (Bitburger Pils) but I must admit that was with the previous owners. Can’t wait to make the 82 mile trip back!
As a German I appreciate their wide selection of beers, holy cow, they even had my all time favorite Kristall Weizen, something I never found outside of Germany. Food was a different experience though. I love to cook and German recipes depend a lot of the quality of the meat. If your butcher didn't get it right there's not much one can do to get an authentic taste. But the meats were good at the Autobahn 101. The mashed potatoes and gravy however were clearly out of the box.
