If you’re in Newport and like a craft beer or two this is a good place to stop. Staff were efficient but not overly friendly
My husband and I went to Bier One, the atmosphere is very small town and welcoming and the beer on tap always changes and is a refreshing change to the stagnant 'one size fits all brewery.' Chris and Luke the owners are always friendly and willing to recommend the best choice of the day. I HIGHLY recommend this place to locals and visitors. It is well worth the time to enjoy this jewel of the coast.
My wife and I stopped at Bier One on December 8th. We were very appalled to see two men in the brewery walking around without masks. The management chose to ignore this behavior. We also observed the bartender, who was behind the bar without her mask on, conversing with a table of patrons across the bar. My wife and I take the COVID situation seriously and, apparently, the management at Bier One does not. We felt what we observed was potentially dangerous. We left and will not return.
We stopped here to try some Oregon craft beers before we went to dinner. They have their own craft beer as well as other beers from other breweries, which was cool. Lots of beers on tap. The place is also large with TV's to watch sports if you want. We loved all the beers we tried. We did not try any food.
We had a fairly large group and were willing to share the picnic table on the patio. When my husband and I arrived, the waiter told us that we would have to stand in line and could not join the rest of our group. We decided to move on.
