Immerse yourself in blooms and color. Fresh cut flowers available July to September. Annual Dahlia Festival the last weekend in August and Labor Day weekend. Walk the breath-taking gardens of 40 acres of blooming dahlias, sampler display garden, Koi fish pond in the shade (view 15,000 blooms featured in 350 floral arrangements during the festival), foods and beverage available, cut flowers and tubers for sale.

We visited on the last day of full opening. There are fields of colourful dahlias, beautiful to see, labelled with the name. There is a small gift shop, there are plans to have a larger shop and more facilities. Food was available, however the queue was very long. Instead we bought ice creams from the shop. There is an area where new varieties are being trialled, very interesting. Plenty of room for children to run about, dogs welcome too.
My husband has been growing Swan Island dahlias for more than 20 years and we drove across the country to see before our own eyes the seas of dahlias at the annual festival. Simply unbelievable. Row upon row of flowers identified by name and order number, just overwhelming us. Some food vendors and a small gift ship. It is a trip worth taking. We visited twice.
We were so fortunate to visit Oregon during the Swan Island Dahlia Festival! The flowers were so beautiful! The staff at Swan Island were friendly and knowledgeable. If n Oregon in August or September this is a must stop!
The rest of the year you can buy Dahlia tubers here, or enjoy their little store and buy a few things there also.
I have come here twice and loved it both times! The Dahlia Festival is much fun! It goes on for weeks during the summer. Cute gift shop, food trucks, gardens! Dog friendly too. Will be coming back!
