Great information
This museum has great potential. The location is great. The information inside the museum is great however, I wish there were more artifacts. There’s just a lot of information about the area and the history of the house but it would be great to see some more artifacts then just standing there and reading the entire time.

Overpriced
Overpriced for what was there. Some posters basically and a gift shop. Bathrooms were dirty and smelled like pee.

Tax shelter I imagine
The films you can cue up in the very slick theater are the only interesting part. I love museums and historic properties, this is neither. A lot of money has been spent on facilities but little to no content exists. Exhibits are mostly glossy placards. I bet local 2%ers have events here and we get to pay for it

Wish We'd Had More Time!! (But We'll Be Back.)
We visited the PMHC for the first time in September and found it exceedingly clean, well-organized, and filled with valuable information on the history and heritage of the Newport community. Don't miss this one...and bring your camera! The views from its front windows are perhaps the very finest in the area. Highly recommended. P.S. The gentleman who met us at the entry, a volunteer, made us feel welcome and was a great source of information. To him, thank you!!

Do not miss!
Not flashy, consequently easy to overlook, but don't make that mistake. This is a beautifully curated space that shows the history and importance of Newport. You'll also learn a lot about fishing and seafood sustainability.
