Arts Center East aims to meet the growing arts-needs of the local and regional communities by providing essential arts services for professional and emerging artists, a professional venue for rotating art exhibits, a creative space for homeschool students as well as youth and adults and a venue for our program partners for movement and wellness classes.

Since its founding in 1977, Art Center East has developed and coordinated arts learning programs in rural schools and communities throughout our ten-county service area including: Baker, Gilliam, Grant, Harney, Malheur, Morrow, Umatilla, Union, Wallowa and Wheeler.

Art Center East has been the source of information sharing and a resource for fostering the growth of rural arts and cultural organizations. Past projects have included professional development workshops for artists and teachers and a performing arts series.
