Great place for a getaway
Shorepine Village treats is right every time. Walked to the beach, to the pub, to the stores and to the main office for a free movie rental. Everything is close by and the house was comfy & well appointed again. Thank you!
We'll equipped home
We will be back. Great home 3 kids 10 & under 1 teen and 3 adults. It was perfect size. We enjoyed and we'll stocked. My midsize SUV fit into the garage. My husband's truck in an out side parking space.
Beautiful with a couple of concerns
Magnificently close to the ocean, which appears to be in the back yard! The kitchen is huge and fabulous. The beds were just so-so in terms of comfort, and although most of the house (Catoor) was quite clean, the throw rugs were not. The cleaning fee of $250 is the same whether two very neat people stay or if it is a family of ten. I think that should be adjusted. Live and learn. I would return with a larger group, but not for just the two of us. Every other place was booked so we stayed there. We did have a nice stay with the exception that the guidelines for making the tv work were outdated, and there were no batteries in two of the remotes that were needed to make the TVs work.
Ended trip early
Make sure you ask ALL necessary question prior to booking your stay as the ladies at the front office will not be forthright. For instance If you wish to stay at the Hotel, rooms face the ocean which is lovely but you are 20 feet from the main thoroughfare and main parking lot for the small town. It's noisy. So when you ask, "is this ocean front" they will say "Yes" without the specific details. We stayed in a townhome in Shorepine Village 1/2 mile from the hotel. We booked 4 nights. 3 nights were available in one location and 1 night in a space "next door". We agreed to the "next" door move. Mind you we had to pay for cleaning fees at both location. At no time in the booking did the representative mention checkout at 11:00 and move in at 5:00. I would never had agreed if this detail was discussed! We had 2 adults, 4 kids and 3 dogs. What were we going to do with our belongings and the 9 of us for 6 hours in rainy weather? Suzanne did offer to store our things in one of the garages. It would have been easy for Suzanne to say you can have a late check out and we will put all our staff on preparing the new unit so you can have a seamless move. After many calls she finally agreed to a 1:00 check out but no definite time to check in. Virtually our entire day would be waiting around and in limbo. As a business owner, I felt Suzanne's lack of warmth, apology and accommodating was poor. Sadly, we ended our vacation early and it is unlikely we will return. Shorepine Village(complex of townhomes, duplexs and individual homes, is well appointed and maintained. The townhomes are all close to the main thoroughfare and the clubhouse. The particular townhome we stayed in opens up to the parking lot and the road. If the weather had been better, this would not be a quiet location. As it was the neighbors had a fire outside until midnight talking next to the bedroom windows. The individual homes are lovely, clean, cozy, comfortable and well stocked. The maintenance staff was quick to respond and very friendly. Several of the ladies in the office are cold, a bit dismissive and one feels as though you are putting them out by asking questions.
Shorepine rentals are in a subdivision and normally I wouldn't like that. However, this subdivision had biking trails, was tree lined and quiet. a 5 minute walk to the beach without crossing any major roads and a 10 minute walk to restaurants.
