Robin & Jim were great! Clean & comfy best sleep in a week. Closest "Civilization" to Crater Lake! Take food, or get back before 7. If the open sign is on, just ring the bell and they will unlock the store.

AVOID!
An older lady turned us away for looking at the camp sites behind the motel - I guess there was a sign, I must have missed it, but they were beyond rude. I personally think she just didn't like the looks of us or something. After leaving, I needed to find another option, and after being on my phone for a few minutes out front the lady shouts out "time to move along!" On the way out, I noticed they have these hoses you drive over that rings a bell inside going in and out and around the building - I think they're possibly xenophobes who run a motel - lol! After reading a few other reviews here, it seems they're probably just crazy - avoid at all costs - we camped up the road for a few bucks at the Jackson F Kimball State Rec Site - there's a place with firewood a few miles further up the road towards Crater Lake.

I would sleep under a bridge before I came back to this place.
My wife,7 year old grandson and I stopped here when visiting Crater Lake. It is a very small campground with only 5 or 6 small RV sites and some tent sites. When we stopped to book the spot, only one tent camper was here and we thought that was funny as they are located very close to the south entrance to Crater Lake and most of the other campgrounds we tried were full. Anyway, we soon found out why no one stays here when the owner came out and proceeded to give us a good chewing out for pulling in the wrong way and being on the wrong side of the power pole. He insisted we move it right now and he did not do it in a very friendly manner. This was at 6pm and at the time we were right in the middle of cooking dinner, so I asked if we could wait until after we finished cooking our dinner, but he said no, it had to be moved right now as other campers could be showing up. He then called me very rude person, yea, I was the rude one. Well just like I expected no other campers (or tenters) showed up. I have been camping for over 40 years and I have never been treated like this and it would not hurt a thing if it would of been packed as it was all night. If we would of had cell data we would of checked Trip Advisory and drove on by this place and I strongly recommend you do the same.

Quick Stay!
Driving from the Oregon coast in time to catch the sunset over Crater Lake was made easier when I pulled into Jo's and lucked out to find a vacancy. The hosts were amazingly friendly and the room was perfect. Sure....no WiFi amenities but that is part of the peaceful charm. The room was immaculate and cozy and proved to be just what I needed after a long day on the road. I can't wait to go back.

An otherwise nice stay and a delicious breakfast, served with a toxic side dish.
On a recent spur-of-the-moment trip to Crater Lake, I had planned to sleep in my van, but when I happened upon Jo's I decided to check it out. My first impression was wonderful, so I decided to stay. Initially, I felt fortunate to find this place. In the morning, my experience was turned 180° from positive to negative when Robyn, owner with her husband, served me a toxic side dish along with what would otherwise have been a delicious breakfast. Unsolicited, she did her best to impress upon me how terrible life is, that we're all going to hell in a hand-basket. When I attempted to point out how amazingly blessed we are, I realized she had no interest in discussion, only in forcing her extreme negativity on an unsuspecting customer. The sign in front says "Organic Produce", which is a delightful thing to find in such a rural setting. But be warned! If you choose to patronize this place for food and/or lodging, it might lead to your getting much more than you want.
