Loved every minute
This is a great location to just unwind. We loved the outdoor pool in December, the hot tub, and spa. This is where we spent our evenings. The two lovely ladies at the front desk were friendly and made sure that everything ran smoothly. The resort has a back up generator for the main building so that guests can still enjoy TV and internet in the middle of a blackout. A local transformer went down and blackened over 1000 of the local homes. The rooms are well-equipped and our comfortable. Even the vehicle can receive a room of it's own with overhead parking. I would definitely recommend this resort to all. We loved every minute.
We had a great time. This is our 2nd visit. Always clean. 2 bdrm, 2 bath provides plenty of room. Staff is friendly and helpful. Only a short drive up to Timberline Lodge. This place is great for a quiet relaxing getaway. Inly 45 min-1 hour from Portland.
Restful Thanksgiving Week!!!
This was a timeshare resort with condos. This was a great place to relax and enjoy family time. Beautiful surroundings, great hikes nearby, quiet and peaceful! We stayed in the two bedroom loft (#462) It was very spacious. We only had 4 people but could have had 4 more. The loft beds were a little small - they were chairs that rolled into beds. Not the best for an adult but great for kids. The kitchen was large and well stocked with pans and dishes. The unit had a full washer and dryer for guest use. The front desk/clubhouse was full of helpful people. The gym was small but had a variety of machines. There was a pool and a jacuzzi but both were outside and the weather was chilly. Overall it was a great place to hang out for a week. Suggestion: if shopping for a week stay - head to Sandy for major grocery shopping. The local store, though close, was limited on food items and expensive. The 16 mile drive to Sandy to head to a major grocery chain (Safeway) is well worth it.
Nice and Peaceful!
We stayed on this property Nov 6-9 so we can visit my sister in Sandy and also go to Mount Hood. Check in was quick and easy...they were so nice and friendly at the front desk. We picked up groceries before heading their way at the Safeway in Sandy. The property was tidy and clean...we booked the 2 bedroom with 2 full baths, living room w/fireplace, and full kitchen. Our back patio/deck had a nice big grill which we didn't use. The second day we had momma deer with her fawn come right up to our living room window. I cooked a few meals but we also went out to eat a couple of times while exploring. If you get hot I suggest not coming in the summer months since there's no A/C...we had one floor fan in one bedroom. We tried to use the hot tub but people always beat us since it's quite small. Free DVD rental on Wed! My friend made an appointment and was able to get a massage on same day at the spa next door. I am definitely going back since Multnomah Falls was closed due to a fire...when it has healed we can't wait to return.
Very nice resort, wonderful staff
We were staying at this resort in late fall, so it was very quiet which we enjoyed. The units offer everything we needed and are spacious. Everything is well kept and clean. All the staff we met were friendly, outgoing and helpful. The super star within all those great people is Christen at the front desk. She gave us so many great tips for hikes, restaurants and sightseeing trips. Thanks to all of you at Whispering Woods for your hospitality!
