The Adobe Resort is located on Pacific Coast Hwy. 101, one mile from the coastal village of Yachats right on the edge of the rocky Oregon coastline. Most guest rooms have spectacular ocean views, some with fireplaces, and king size beds.

Great staff and views but ....
Staff was absolutely stellar and helped me with a reservation mistake. The grounds and ocean side of the hotel offer stunning, world-class views. Unfortunately the hotel itself is a construction mess. Cleanliness was mixed, bed was ok. Bring your own food. The restaurant was always full with a long waiting list and sweet but harried staff. The 3 stars are for the staff and views only.

Bait and switch, extreme construction for about 2 years
My husband took a week off work to go through the beach cities in Oregon. Always a great get away! I had booked this for two nights. I specifically booked a king on the second floor ocean view and balcony. The pictures that you see aren't what you get! The gal at the front desk was nice. However, they told us that the room booked wasn't available? We booked it about a month. Odd. When we pulled in to the "resort" it looked like a hot mess! Just the parking lot was a disaster for anyone walking. It looks like it was 1980 with garage sale random old furniture. They had tons of workers doing construction on the entire place. Furniture in boxes tons of them. Old bed mattresses that no one would ever touch. It was difficult even knowing where to go to get to the office. Hand made signs?! Some said closed restaurant and lounge. When we found the temporary office the gal seemed as if the place was normal?! She told us that they didn't have our room available??? Not acceptable! We told her that we wanted to go look at the room. Thank goodness we did! The room smelled like wet dogs, urine and just old! Furniture was more than rough. She told us there would be a ocean view. Lol,um sliding glass door is mold and water issues. You couldn't even see the ocean! We went back and said we cannot stay here. She looked like we were crazy. I told her this is not what we purchased. And we had two nights so we had to find another hotel at 4 pm! We stayed at the office because we weren't going to lose over $400 because of their bait and switch! Just walking around the place to see our supposed room wasn't safe at all with all the construction. They had ladders, saws, nails sticking out from old furniture, tools etc., It was very dirty. I would worry about children that could be a huge lawsuit. I was able to get the front desk gal to refund our stay. We did get it refunded. For those wondering the reviews we found on here, they have been doing construction and remodeling for about two years!!! Adding pics from what we saw. Obviously don't go there! RESORT HECK NO!

Disappointing
I stayed for one night at the Adobe while traveling through Yachats. Positives: 1.) Friendly staff 2.) Continental breakfast "snacks" 3.) Some room updates including newer mattress, sink area, painted walls 4.) Folded swan towels :) 5.) Awesome views, they can't be beat! Negatives: 1.) Details that hadn't been finished in a mostly remodeled room, like a small lamp and the alarm clock sitting on a chair opposite the bed. There was also a big empty planter awkwardly placed. The toilet paper holder was broken and the roll was perched on it. 2.) Small, very low toilet (this part of the bathroom had not been remodeled) 3.) Shower water started out warmish on the highest setting, then quickly faded out to cold The Adobe is undergoing remodeling and there was some construction noise and debris but I didn't mind that. I hope they are eventually able to pull it all together and become a great resort.

Awesome view
A wonderful view from our room! Shore lit at night making for wonderful wave watching. Also very clean. It’s in the middle of construction and our room was recently renovated but some furniture hadn’t come in yet. Some outlets weren’t working. Shower great for a 5’ short person. Others might be less comfortable with it!! Staff was very nice. I experienced some confusion about when the dining room would be available. It was either closed or had just filled up so I never got to eat there.

Run down hotel
Worst experience for a hotel that charges $150 per night. Upon checking in the fireplace did not work (maintenance did repair). The bathroom toliet had blood in the seating area. On departure day the only elevator was out of order. Find another place to stay on the Oregon coast.
