The Adobe Resort is located on Pacific Coast Hwy. 101, one mile from the coastal village of Yachats right on the edge of the rocky Oregon coastline. Most guest rooms have spectacular ocean views, some with fireplaces, and king size beds.

Lovely place
The view of the ocean crashing into the rocks was thrilling. The indoor pool was big and lovely. Staff was very accommodating at the desk and in the restaurant. Breakfast (free) was nothing to brag about but that didn’t bother us much.

Used to be better
We stayed at Adobe Resort in Yachats at least once per year since 2012. Yes, as other reviewers noted, it needs refurbishing (carpets, furniture), but we loved the view of the ocean from our favorite room, as well as the dinner and breakfast at their restaurant. During our most recent overnight stay there, at the end of December 2022, we noted some unfortunate changes. Their online reservation platform no longer allowed us to select our room in advance and we ended up assigned to a room we were told at the front desk was "comparable" (it was not). Dinner menu options were reduced and the so-called "Crab Louie" my wife ordered was not what the menu described and was extremely disappointing. The restaurant was no longer open for breakfast most weekdays and the now-complimentary alternative "grab & go breakfast" was a "look & don't bother." (We went to Green Salmon for breakfast, instead.) Our reservation had been billed to our credit card as soon as it was no longer cancellable (48 hours in advance), which was a new procedure, albeit acceptable. I informed the person at the desk upon checking in that the room had already been billed. We were also holding a subsequent reservation there for September and, apparently, the person ignored what I said, didn't look at the date for that September reservation, and billed it, too. When I saw the erroneous charge on our credit card days later, I immediately wrote to Adobe with documentation for our future reservation and for it having been billed nine months in advance and asked that the charge be reversed. I received neither reply nor compliance after a week and therefore filed a dispute (still pending) via the credit card company. We used to look forward to staying at Adobe. We'll cancel our September reservation once the dispute is settled. Sad.

Once was a great place.
The room and view were good. The service n the Lounge was ridiculously rude and we were asked to leave when we confronted the Bartenders' lie about why our dinner took over an hour to get.We never got it he asked us to leave yelling it out in front of other customers. He would not let us watch the Beavers game because he had been watcher the world series and would not let us change at least one TV. He was rude to other customers as well. A gentleman approached me in the parking lot to tell me how rude Wade had been to them as well. Made a complaint at the front desk,,, was no response, Called manager he said he would call back and never did. Terrible customer service. The dining room has a great view but the carpet is so filthy. I know there are upgrades coming but the place has definitely lost its flare. The lounge didn't open until 3 pm. We paid $260 for a room for one night. A great disappointment!

Needs updating.
The room was clean. The view is great. The furnishings really need to be updated. Most of them look like 1980's. Very worn and the bed was uncomfortable. Not a cheap hotel either. The food was good but overpriced. The nicest thing being there was the daily Happy Hour in the lounge. I dont think I'll be going back anytime soon.

Spacious comfortable room with great views
We had a great stay at the Adobe Resort. Samantha at the front desk was very friendly and we had a lovely, huge, immaculately clean, very comfortable room with beautiful ocean views at a great price. We wished we had longer to stay at least a second night to enjoy the comfort of the room and use the pool. We very much appreciated the on-site restaurant and had friendly service from the hostess and our server and very good food. We stayed at 16 different accommodations on a 26 day road trip and this is one we felt was great value for the comfort and location.
