Barely worth one star
Only good thing was the breakfast, but dont expect good service with it. Right away I had to call maintenance for TV and shower leaking. Took an hour and rude front desk guy wouldn't upgrade my room so I had to wait. Very annoying after a long drive. Asked for a private room and the guy said he wouldn't put anyone next to me but the second front desk guy, the rude one, did. Needs a deep cleaning and better staff. The hot tub wasn't worth paying more for. The jets were not soothing. This place is not worth the money and I wont stay again.
We stayed here during the first week of the Coronavirus quarantine. Hardly anybody was in the hotel so we were able to get a fantastic deal on one of their best rooms. The staff was courteous and helpful even though we're there was only about two of them on duty at any one time. The restaurant at a limited menu but what do you expect. The hotel is just spotless clean and in a Charming location
Get a room with a river view
Decent size rooms, clean and stocked with necessities. If you get a room with a view of the river it is a nice view Conveniently located just of Interstate 5. I got a good rate through hotwire. There is a restaurant in the hotel and many eating options close by. There is also room for large meetings.
Beware of Changes in Hotel...and the Group Guests
I booked this hotel online which showcased the restaurant on the river side. NOT SO! They are remodeling to better accommodate banquets and large meeting groups. The restaurant is now on the parking lot side where the sun blinds you at dinner time. I was woken up 3 times between 2:30 am to 3:30 am by loud guests in the hall. After a few days it was the teens turn. It was a Deca Debate Competition. The problem seems to arise by by how they’re chaperoned. However, the staff and waiters are great!
The place was not busy at all and it seemed all the guests were put together. Loud parties going on in the rooms around us into the early hours of the morning. Also... there was a dirty washcloth hanging over the shower curtain rod that was very nasty. We always like staying here but this was bad experience with being in town for medical appointment and needing to be up early. Was a tired next day.
