My husband and I were driving our motor home towing a Jeep into Klamath Oregon on Nov 2/19 we googled Good Sams Rv parks and up came Motel 8 Rv park so we went there it was 7pm and very dark so we went in and parked in a site and hooked up. We were going to either find someone to pay or pay in the morning before we left. My husband was hooking up and he was being yelled at by a fellow in a pickup truck he was so rude and abrupt he said to go to the motel and pay. So my husband went over to the motel to only get more abuse from the wife. It was such a dump and cost $46.00 with our discount. My advice don’t stay here unless you enjoy being yelled at
Expensive and kind of crummy
I thought a Good Sams rate of $42 was pretty high for small spot and bare minimum park. Laundry room equipment did function with problems. Bathroom was ok. But we pulled in at 11 pm after a really long day and they did have an opening.
Good bed, good shower. These are the essentials of a motel
I already commented positively on the bed and shower. There is also a frig, microwave, and coffee pot. Nice desk with chair. The breakfast included with the room is very meager. Our room did not get cleaned today, although we did get new towels. The siding is off of the wall in the bathroom. There should be a light in the area where the closet is. It's a little noisy from the road outside, but they can't help that.
A Total Dump
This place is horrible. The photos on their website and their rating from Good Sam are very deceiving to say the least. The RV portion is run down, has full timers with junk infested spaces, and spots too narrow to be comfortable. The surrounding area is not attractive and looks somewhat seedy. We cannot speak to the motel portion, but it’s outward appearance is less than inviting. It looks like there are full time residents living there also. We paid for one night at the RV park and used their WiFi to find somewhere else to stay. We then left. That should tell you all you need to know.
This place is on the to Crater Lake on the right of the road so glad we didn’t pass it by. The couple that runs it is so nice. The rooms are very clean and a great overnight stay. Room had microwave and refrigerator also. They advertise a breakfast but all they had was bananas, coffee, and a couple little muffins.
