I love this place! Gorgeous views great for taking walks would prefer a bigger bed but won't complain! Clean, well kept, and very friendly! There are a few small places to eat the Mexican restaurant across the street is delicious!
Central to Outdoor Activities
We came to Gates to attend a funeral. There are not many places near here to stay, and we were worried about the accommodations at such a small roadside manner. We were greeted warmly by the staff, and checked into our rooms. Now this is not Red Lion Inn, but it is certainly fine, especially for the price ($45 for a single). The rooms are clean, freshly painted, and furnished with comfortable furniture. There is no coffee machine, but right across the road is a coffee stand that sells the most delicious coffee. We ended up staying here three nights and we will stay here again. This is also a nice place to stay because it is central to a lot of outdoor destinations. Very relaxing.
Clean, simple, exactly what we needed.
Scheduled a room here after a multi-day back country backpacking trip. After weeks of traveling with someone who insisted that we stay at the cheapest motels possible, at $60 for two people and two beds, this place is a major value! Clean, clean, clean and the owner is a blast to talk with, she's great! Also gave us a day hike recommendation for Sahalie Falls (Wow!). Will stay here again when in the area.
