The Lanai is tucked away in a cove of the Pacific Ocean at the base of Tillamook Head, providing an oceanfront experience that can’t be compared. With 22 individually owned and decorated condo units that can accommodate one to four people, The Lanai welcomes guests from across the world who wish to enjoy the scenic rocky beach and the surf. And just a short walk down the beach, you will find a three-mile stretch of sandy beach.

We got married April 13, 2019 and stayed at the Lanai at the Cove and we stayed in room 47. We absolutely loved it. We go there every yr to celebrate our wonderful anniversary. We always try to get our room,2 yrs ago our room #47was booked and the hotel put us room in 47 on our last day. We were just down at Lanai at the cove 4/11to14 and stayed in room 46. We asked if we could book room 47 for 2025 and they went out of there way to make OUR SPECIAL DAY happen in 2025 . 6 wonderful yrs to my best friend and looking forward to so many more yrs at Lanai at cove. The people in the office are so wonderful, they bent over backwards to make sure that we were well taken care of. Mr. and Mrs. Terry Baldwin of Payette Id.

Our room was clean and well appointed, bed comfortable, electric fireplace a nice added touch. Having the private lanai off our 2nd level room was lovely being so close to the surf and hearing the sounds of the waves was relaxing. Shower in the bathroom was excellent. Little kitchenette was handy. The grounds were nicely kept and clean. Very friendly at check in and check out. We enjoyed being a distance away from the activities and crowds in town. Nice stroll to town down the promenade.

Good location and veiw

Loved the location and view. Staff were very nice and helpful. Room was nice enough, comfortable but could use some updates. I know other rooms are more updated and appealing. Many TV wires hanging on wall were visually unappealing. Awkward cabinets and drawers in kitchette...especially silver ware drawer, short people can not see inside. Fireplace was not working properly...or maybe was just old and needed update???. Room was 25. I would stay here again but request a different room since all are different.

Best view in Seaside!

The answer is yes. Yes this place is nice, worth it, and has a great views. Arguably the best view you can get from a hotel/condo in either seaside or cannon beach. (We had the ocean view room) 2nd floor). You are right on the water- and since it is at the arch of the cove- you get waves that are coming from the side! Surfers can be seen floating out to catch waves- and the rocky beach gives a rugged feel that makes the room feel even cozier. There is no bad time of year to visit- rain or shine you get a beautiful view. The rooms are individually owned, and decorated differently- we stayed in unit #37 for 3 nights and brought all our own food. The unit had a small kitchenette (think motorhome kitchen), it was supplied with most of what you would need- cutlery, a few pans, a pot, glasses, etc. There is a safeway nearby if you forget anything. Coffee is refilled each day, and comes in perfect 1.5oz packages that are labled with the Lanai brand. It was great. We never ate out once while we were there- although there are great places to eat all round. Our unit had a nice TV with streaming platforms loaded and with easy guest access- but there is also a large collection of DVD's in the office. The staff Wayne and Shane- haha yeah- they are very nice, helpful, and funny. Try the free salt water taffy samples on the counter- peppermint is the best in my opinion. :-) We brought our own firewood, and had a fire on the rocks one night outside- it was windy- so we opted to be away from from the hotel so the smoke wouldnt blow into peoples balconies. Short walk back to a hot shower. Shower pressure was amazing! And plenty of hot water! We kept our sliding door cracked most of the visit - although it was in the 50's outside- with the electric fireplace going- ambience was onpoint. There was a sleeper sofa that could have accomodated two other guests- or kids- but we just used it to watch movies. Probably the only negative thing- was the 4 pillows that were provided were not the most comfortable- but that's really an easy remedy- BYOP. The pool was not open when were there, so I can't speak to that- and Wayne told me that he has been trying to get the owners to invest in a hottub for years! All in all- outside of renting a big beachhouse with a bunch of people- this is the best spot for couples, or even families with a couple kids. We didn't bring a pet, but apparently some units are pet friendly for a nightly fee. We will be back!
