The mid-century ranch style gave me a pause. But from the extremely friendly lady at check-in through the upgraded bathroom, plush towels, and fresh good quality sheets, this one-night stopover was a blessing. Within 2 blocks of all there is to do in downtown Joseph, this motel fit the bill and is highly recommended. We paid about $120.00 after taxes
Trying a New Motel
I wanted to combine several things when I chose this motel. I had booked a train ride adventure and didn't want to drive the 3+ hours to go back home the same day. I had decided to make the adventure a long weekend and wanted to be close to everything in town, close to visiting friends in the area and revisit old places I had been to not too long ago. I chose this motel based on the name only. The name fits the surrounding area. I stayed for 3 nights. I was given a very reasonable rate. The staff was very nice and helpful my whole visit, especially when I had locked myself out of my room and it was 23 degrees out. Debbie was an absolute gem. Great sense of humor and very attentive to my needs. She pointed out various places to eat and things to see. Coffee pot was provided in room. My room was cleaned and fresh towels provided every day. I had no issues with parking and everyone else parking as they should, taking up only their one space. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and I slept through the entire night each night. I especially liked the soft lighting in the room. There were more than enough lamps to adjust the lighting to my degree of need. I highly recommend this motel.
nice old motel, price kind of high for no more than what you get. Noisy but right on main drag so good location. Very clean and staff was quite nice, no breakfast included. parking kind of a nightmare as some folks took up 2 spots which is hard when only 16 rooms and less parking.
Well located in beautiful downtown Joseph, the Indian Lodge Motel is a good value considering. We were two travelers needing two beds...the two queen bed rooms are a bit crowded, don't have the best lighting situation or the most comfortable beds or pillows (bring your own pillows if you care) but still enjoyed our stay. Joseph and area are so beautiful and wonderful to be able to walk anywhere in town and quick driving access to lake, tram, other points of interest
Found on Google but what a find. Besides the motel, they have guest units they call cottages, but are in a single building (see photo). Super clean, a couple blocks off the main street where the motel is located. Quiet and secluded if you want to get away from the main drag of town. Has a back deck with table and chairs and yard. Saw deer across the street in front. Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.
