Great hotel and location. Near the airport, but in our 2nd floor room, we heard no noise from the airport. Friendly, professional front desk staff and free shuttle drivers. Breakfast was very crowded, but staff managed to keep up with demand. Nicely landscaped around the facility. Fast-food and other dining options within walking distance.
Excellent quality of service and staff was professional and respectful and knowledgeable! Will recommend this hotel to friends and families and everyone who appreciates a great place to sleep away from home!
We normally stay at Hampton Inn when flying out of Portland but decided to give Homewood Suites a try because it was cheaper. This may be our new favorite hotel in the airport area. Nice room with small kitchen and comfortable beds. The hotel was nicely decorated for Christmas. Shuttles to the airport run every 1/2 hour and our lady shuttle driver was so pleasant. We called the hotel upon returning so that we could get a shuttle back to the hotel for our car. The shuttle arrived quickly and that driver was also very pleasant. Parking is in a lot which surrounds the hotel. I was a little concerned when the check in clerk said to park in a spot close to the building in view of a security camera, but we had no issues leaving our car there for 5 nights. Breakfast starts at 6 am on weekdays and 7 am on weekends. It consisted of cheese omelettes, sausage links and surprisingly good sausage biscuits and gravy. There was also fruit, yogurt and cereal. We had a good stay and would stay again next time we have a morning flight out of PDX.
We stayed for one night. Hotel is clean and in a safe area. Plenty of parking available. Typical breakfast included. Scrambled eggs very much overcooked. Departure day, we left the hotel at 9 and came back at 10:45 to pick up the luggage and check out. To our surprise, both keycards were already deactivated. Went to front desk to get a keycard, got a new keycard, went up to the room right at the end of one of the hotel's wings to find out that that one is not working either. Called the front desk and they asked me to come the lobby again, which I refused, so they sent maintenance up. He tried all 3 cards and none were working, but his master key worked. Overall, we lost time for no good reason and we were late at a meeting. There are better choices nearby, Radisson and Best Western Plus come to mind.
Booked a suite and enjoyed the space, privacy, quiet, pool, outdoor patio spaces, kitchenette, and friendly service. Hot and cold breakfast buffet was typical and convenient. Great beginning to a family vacation!
