A Great Place On The Beach!
It's been a good stay. The pricing is unbelievable (low) for being right on the beach. When making our reservation, we actually called to make sure it wasn't a scam. We are staying in unit 218. Beds are well enough to give a good night sleep. Things could certainly be updated like kitchen countertops that are warped, the entire bathroom could use a gut job, and the recliner needs to be replaced. We loved having the ambiance of the fire place, and a wall mounted TV. Management is very responsive to calls or any other issues that may arise. I reported the broken recliner, and they did offer to try and fix it, but I declined as it wasn't going to make or break our stay. We will definitely come back for another stay.

Oh My, What a Shock!
Let me start with I stayed at this hotel about 18 months ago and it was awesome. Price was great. Rooms were large and nicely decorated. Bed totally comfortable. Ocean view couldn't be beat. Just got back from there. So disappointed!!!!! In the past 18 months they have gone from being an awesome hotel with nice amenities to an owner owned condo. We stayed in room 111. View was still great. Bathroom fairly clean. Had a wonderful walk in shower -- but should have a grab bar in shower for safety. It went downhill from there. Checked out the kitchen. The peel and stick backsplash was starting to peel. This was a room stating it would accommodate 4 persons. Checked out the utensils - there was 1 teaspoon, 2 soup spoons, 4 forks and mismatched miscellaneous. Tiny dining room table but that wasn't the issue. The chairs to go with the table hadn't been assembled correctly. There were screws not tightened all the way. They wobbled if you even looked like you were going to sit in them. They were uncomfortable and very UNSAFE! The bed was lumpy. my friend said it felt as tho the foot of the bed was higher than the head. bedding was old, Not sure what was going on with the comforter. It was wrinkled and looked frayed. The murphy bed was a better bet for sleeping. Had 2 plastic patio chairs to sit outside and watch the waves. One chair was okay. The other chair had broken arms and back. Again UNSAFE. Informed the front desk the next morning about it. Was told that it was the owners responsibility. But then noticed when we got back to the room that afternoon the chair was gone - but no replacement. We went from an awesome room, with great pricing 18 months ago to one just now that was more than double the price and needed an update badly and the safety issues fixed. My suggestion - if you stay here, you may want to forego this room in lieu of maybe differentone. I, myself, will be looking for a different hotel next time I come to the beach.

Going Downhill
We have stayed here, a couple of times a year, for 34 years for family trips. I understand covid precautions that have been in place, but now that the motel went through this new changeover, there are fewer perks than ever. We had to bring our own towels this time, because there was not going to be enough in the room for a weeks stay and they do not provide more items than your initial set up now. If you will need more than 2 rolls of TP and 1 box of Kleenex, you will also need to bring those. Tried calling the front desk a few times, no answer. They have let the individual condo owners decorate the rooms as they choose. My parents and sisters rooms look amazing. Ours, with the exception of 2 added pillows and a few more dishes, is the same old stuff it's always been. So disappointed. 2 burnt out light bulbs and 2 electrical outlets that don't work as well. Prices keep going up and service is going down. This will be our last trip to this place.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS Better off sleeping in your car
Arrived at 4pm. Room isn't ready. 415 Scott says it is. We walk in, to housekeeping stuff all over the kitchen. She comes in and says she's done and gets it all. I find pretzels, popcorn and what looked like broken up deodorant all over the bedroom floor. Go to front desk. They seem to care less and say housekeeping will be by shortly. I then find used soap and shampoo in shower. Maid comes by and vacuums rudely for 1 sec, throws what I found in shower in my bathroom trash and leaves it there and leaves. Still popcorn and pretzel on the floor squished all over. Kim, a housekeeper, then comes to my room, screaming in my face in front of my kids, calling me a liar and that they cleaned this roomand that I didn't find used soap in the shower. She says they still have rooms to clean (its 5pm) And she will be back.We leave and come back. I then notice poop all over the toilet seat. I for a 3rd time go to the front desk. They do not care. Every time I went to the office there were other guests in there, with the same issues. Dirty rooms. And terrible customer service. Housekeeping finally showed up at SEVEN THIRTY PM and "cleaned the bathroom" and vacuumed for the 2nd time. When they left, the toilet hadn't been touched and they didnt know i was outside and i heard one say to the other "it was just one piece of popcorn" thats NOT THE POINT!!!! I've been coming here for the last 5 years and we will never be back. I finally went and got cleaning supplies and could use my bathroom at 9pm after I cleaned it. Paid 250 bucks for a room i could not use.. i will be fighting this.. The location is amazing the rooms are old and need remodeled and they need new employees. Not the local crackheads who do a terrible job and don't even clean the rooms. Its sad. To see something that was once so wonderful, ran down and dirty. And to think they upped the prices 🤣 DO NOT STAY HERE. Unless you like dirty and gross.
