Things started off so well, that it's still unbelievable that they ended up so frightfully horrible. Nice people on the phone, on check in, clean comfortable room. Quiet. But disaster when I tried to check out in the morning. I'd asked the clerk when I checked in where I should park as I was parking for 5 days while taking a shuttle to the airport. The clerk said that I was a Choice Privileges member and could park anywhere in the lot. When I went to the lobby the following morning at 4am for shuttle to the airport I left my luggage in the lobby while I locked a few last things in my car in the parking lot. When I returned to the lobby a very large man shouted at me, "IS THAT YOUR LUGGAGE?? AND WHO TOLD YOU THAT YOU COULD PARK WHERE YOU DID?" He was very angry. I told him timidly that yes it was my luggage and that I'd been told by the evening clerk to park anywhere. He didn't ask- he demanded to know the persons name. I didn't remember. He was till shouting when he asked me how he was going to know how to reprimand the clerk in question. I told him that he was speaking in a hostile way and that he was scaring me. He continued to shout about me parking in the wrong place. This man was huge, and it seemed he may have been used to shouting. I asked him where I might move my car and he told me behind the hotel. I moved the car, and on re-entering the lobby the same clerk held some paperwork up high saying he'd filled out paperwork about what a difficult guest I was. Now mind you, I'm a 72 year old lady. This was terrifying me. He then said something I still can't quite believe. He said "remember I have all your information, and your car's information too". The whole thing seemed surreal!! If the driver of the shuttle did not show up at just that moment I would have called the police. I felt threatened and terrorized. I called a number from Choice Hotels for the manager of the hotel. I left multiple messages and finally reached her at 8:30 am that morning. She listened to my story, never said she was sorry, and said she would need to talk to her employee to get his side of the story- and would call me back. I was still shaken by the incident. Since the clerk said he had my information and that of my car I was afraid he'd take my credit card info or have my car towed. She denied that would happen. But she never called me back. When I returned my car was safely where I parked it . I did finally get a form email from the manager of the hotel who I'd spoken to the morning after the incident. I'd filled out the emailed "how was your stay" from Choice Hotels, and she was replying to that. This was a full week after the incident., I would NEVER EVER stay at this property again. I think the hotel and everyone aside from this night clerk ,were wonderful. I felt perfectly safe with the exception of being in the presence of this particular man.I have nightmares of running into him. I can't speculate what this man's difficulty was, if he'd just had bad news or if he regularly gets into rages. Because a rage is exactly what I believe he was in. He has no place in any service related industry. Thanks for reading all of this. I still can't believe this happened. Everyone has a bad day at work but to threaten a guest is scary and bizarre. In retrospect I should have called the police and missed my flight. Never would have believed I'd be writing a review of a hotel like this. Good wishes to everyone.
I was in room 217 next to the elevator, it was so loud and it woke me up every time it ran. If that wasn't enough, the room above had kids running and stomping at all hours. Over all, I paid way too much for 2 nights in what felt like hell. The room smelled like bug spray and parts of the floor felt like they were about to fall in.
We stayed for two nights while visiting friends. The front desk staff was helpful and friendly. We especially liked the night auditor that checked us in. Gabe was also very helpful. The pool and jacuzzi area were very nice. We will stay here again.
stayed 1 night, room was clean, bed very comfortable. Service poor: toilet water ran loudly every few hours, but when reported it I got a thank you for letting know with no apology or concern to me for my interrupted sleep nor any offer to comp anything. nothing, not even a simple "sorry to hear that" worse was breakfast: standing first in line at front desk with my filled out paper order for breakfast bag and breakfast, server takes the order of the person behind me in line before mine and delivers breakfast bag to them before me. I couldn't open my orange juice so got in line for help wth that over by kitchen door and server said please wait I'll be right out, I said "Ok, that's fine" then when she came out she met my eyes but still walked past me and took the paper order of a man that had just arrived down the elevator, helped 2 other people with their bags of food before coming to help me with huffy inpatience. I'd really been looking forward to my stay, very disappointed with my experience and lack of basic courtesy and customer service by staff. Took top floor to be quieter but te room wasn't very quiet even though during the week, not weekend, could hear people out in hall and in other rooms
I am really impressed how clean this hotel was. The staff member that greeted me was A1. He was very helpful with recommending a good restaurant that I could walk to. It was an Italian restaurant and was very good. I had to only walk 1 block or so as I had no car. I do not think I will be back this way but if I do I will stay here.
