Birthday Extravigansa
Stayed 2 nights in a 3rd floor suite (315), and we had a super time. The room smelled good. If you have ever stayed is a room that smelled bad, you will understand this praise. Clean and roomy. The breakfast that we had on site, twice, was great. The employee that took care of the dining room did a great job of making us feel welcome. She had everything you need after such a restful night. Even the sealions were singing. Had to open the window a little to hear them. We will be back again for sure.

Amazing 🏨
We came to Astoria and stayed at this hotel for the first time ! I can’t say enough about the whole experience . From walking through the front door right up until leaving . Such friendly service , spotlessly clean hotel . Our rooms were great , the beds and pillows were super comfy ! The pool and hot tub were available to us 24 hours ! Great set up there . Our morning breakfast was great variety and good food . Very clean and organized ! The front lobby was set up so nice and welcoming ! It’s clear to see the management quality here is top notch . 👍Absolutely loved our stay and look forward to coming back again . We would recommend this hotel to all !

Nice view, good property, noisy seals (but not too bad).
We had a good room, though the hot water control in the bath/shower took some figuring out. Hot water was an unmarked spot in the middle of range. Our view of the river was outstanding. Only difficulty: the seals (or sea lions?) bark loud and near constantly. Although they are a fair distance from the hotel, be prepared, run the HVAC fan, earplugs, a small sound machine maybe. Keeping the sliding windows closed mostly solved the problem.

Horrible
My wife went with her sister and brother (for 10k walk in Astoria). Her brother had reserved two rooms for $240 each. When they arrived they denied that two rooms had been reserved and were told there was only one even though they had proof two were reserved. Having no choice my wife paid for a second room. She signed a charge for $262 for one additional room. When the charge came through our bank it was for $298. How can you charge $30+ more than was signed for?

Great and the View!
Every room , except a few, have a clear and spectacular view of the Columbia River, looking across to Washington state. Nearby you can do the river walk, which is also quite wonderful-- birds and such! If want to go further in to town, a car is a good idea. Astoria itself is quirky and beautiful and rugged and artsy. Perfect for me. The motel is modest but clean and does the job quite well. Felt lucky to have found it. As others said, staff is wonderful.
