Nice View / Owner fantastic / Concrete level pad
We called about 30 min outside Pendleton looking for a spot. The gal on the phone was so pleasant and accommodating. The place was clean and had a great view overlooking a valley. We overstayed our visit and the owners were fine with us leaving the RV and taking the “underground” tour well past the check out time :). We missed out on the breakfast served by the owners but it sure looked good.
Staff was very friendly, concrete pads, well maintained campground. Campsite was narrow but OK. Showers were clean. They offered some meals during the Pendleton Roundup. If attending the Roundup make reservations very early.
Stayed here for a night in a nice grassy tent site. Played cards on our picnic table and had a nice relaxing evening. Right off the interstate and close to town. Very clean and well maintained. Great showers!
Great employees and the couple that runs it the sites are a little close but not bad, great views and a dog park for your furry friends. Nice and quiet easy access! We will stop here again! Nice place to stop after coming off of Cabbage hill!
Tight But Beautiful
Beautifully landscaped and with plenty of shade trees, this KOA Journey would have been a perfect overnight stop if we had not had to unhook our camper from the truck. Almost all of the back-in sites in this campround are too short to allow you to stay hitched because the camp is very tightly packed into a small area. But all the sites were paved — although the pull-throughs were graveled and cost $7 more a night. The restrooms and showers were immaculate. There is a small dog park and playground but no swimming pool, which is probably uniform for “journey” type KOAs. Lucky us, on Sunday the managers put on a cooked breakfast for $5 each and served sausage and biscuits, scrambled eggs, breakfast burritos and waffles. The camp was easy to get to from I-84.
