A cozy older building set in the center of Gearhart which has been expertly upgraded to provide a very comfortable B and B experience with a variety of accomodation rooms The staff is friendly and supportive and the amenities of the property with its outdoor areas with sheltered dome, fireplace and barbecue and bikes for use push it far above the usual hotel/motel BandB experience An excellent place to spend a few days on the spectacular Oregon Coast
My wife and I made this place home base for our weekend getaway. It was so cute! Very close to the beach and golf course. Service was warm and professional. The unit was small but comfortable and quiet. The shower water pressure was fantastic. TV had channels and streaming services available for login. Snacks and drinks were available at fairly reasonable prices. Truly everything we wanted. We’ll be back!
I wanted to love this place, but I was disappointed. No cocktail upon arrival. Breakfast was a sugary pastry every day (three of my five days it was the same scone) with an apple and OJ. I was there for a week with my dog, working most days, and only on my last day did someone stop by to ask if I needed any service or coffee refills. The woman seemed off-put by my dog even in a dog friendly place. A hot burner or stove top would make staying for the week much easier especially since many restaurants close on Tuesday and Wednesday. Oddly, the internet turned off and back on every day at the same time as well. Plus, it was expensive, with self serve snacks. Even though I reported what I consumed, I was still charged an additional $2.50 for something I didn’t eat (that’s the trouble with self serve, my word against someone else’s). I could have spent the same amount for a house to myself, with laundry and a full kitchen. A great spot for a romantic get away. Not a great spot for a remote working stay.
My sister and I take getaways in search of a *Hygge experience. Drifthave #11 was it! Comfortable, cozy, relaxing, easy. Cassie welcomed us, answered all our questions and accommodated our needs. Such a comfortable bed. Bath linens plush. Juice, fruit and pastries delivered daily at our front door. The amenities, fire pit, lawn chairs, bicycles always available. Beach was a quick walk away. Will go again! *Hygge / hoog-uh / the feeling of coziness and contentment evoked by simple comforts, as being wrapped in a blanket, having good conversations, enjoying food, etc.
This place is the cutest!!! Welcomed warmly and delivered a cocktail. Delivered breakfast in the morning. The room was gorgeous. Small, but so cozy. Because the bed is like a cloud! The details are amazing. Greatest tea and coffee. Did I mention the hot buttered rum on arrival? This place has a retro feel and just a quick drive or walk to the beach. Tips: ask for what you need before bedtime!! No ice available after hours. (I think the office closes 9pm) Bring water with you, or enjoy the tap water! Difficult to find cable TV. We signed in our Netflix which was ok! Super great experience. I'll definitely come again
