Check and double check prices
Golf course and staff were very good. The information about golf and club rental prices we received from the answering service we contacted for reservations was way off. Be prepared for a significant increase in prices.

Magical, beautiful, immaculate
My 11-yr old daughter and 7-yr son have been practicing with me at the driving ranges around Oregon for about a year. My 11-yr old fell in love with the Salishan earlier this year and wanted to play the course. On Mother’s Day we hired pro golfer Andrew Gerchak to take us around the front nine. Andrew is a fantastic instructor and his demeanor encouraged the children to play like pros too. My 7-yr old son is nonverbal autistic and sometimes causes a fuss… but not with Andrew. Andrew was able to get my son to play in every hole. We also loved seeing Andrew’s skills on the course. Amazing Mother’s Day! Thank you Andrew and Salishan!

Can't wait to go back to Salishan!
We learned about the Salishan during covid, and had many refreshing family retreats during this time under these constraints. Post covid, recently, we spent my 36th birthday at the beautiful Salishan. We were able to talk our family into joining us and had such a wonderful time at the coast, soaking up all that Salishan has to offer (spacious, equipped rooms, adventurous trails and fun activities to have some fun, and delicious and convenient food on premise). We also splurged and indulged in their amazingly stunning and refreshing spa. I can't speak enough to how restorative and stunning this spa is. Unbeatable, all around, hands down on the Oregon and Washington Coast. If you Golf, this is your place. If you don't golf, this is your place, too! The spa is a destination in itself, and the convenience of all the amenities at this awesome property are unparalleled on the coast. Salishan is now in our seasonal beach rotation for escaping the city life in PDX. We LOVE Salishan and can't wait to book our next beach escape! Many great offerings within arms reach, too! But Salishan has you covered on almost every little awesome detail. Longing for our next getaway!

Horrible just beneath the surface
This was a business trip, and I brought my mom and infant daughter. Although on the surface everything seems clean and updated I was horrified to find my water glass was filthy. When I went to put water in it I found dried food caked to the inside. I called the front desk and asked for more glasses and more water (you have to go to the lobby to fetch water) and they did not apologize and refused to send water. The staff member who brought the new glasses did not apologize either even when shown the glass. The next morning we ordered breakfast at provisions and the meal was wrong for both of us (eggs scrambled instead of over easy, hashbrowns instead of fruit). Again, no apology. Finally we asked for an extra 30 min to check out as my speaking engagement on site ended at 10:45and checkout was 11am. They said no although the parking lot was empty and I had a a small baby I just wanted to change before we went for a long car ride. All in all, on the face if it looked fine but details, cleanliness and manners were missing. I gave 2 stars for the surroundings and the lovely woman who checked us in.

Only place to stay on the Oregon Coast
Second stay! Not sure how it could be any better than the first time but it was. The property itself is gorgeous, but the staff makes the resort incredibly special. Kudos to the Salishan team!! Can’t wait to be back.
