TripAdvisor Ratings & Reviews
We spent 3 nights in one of the river view king cabins. The bed was very comfy and nice love seat in front of fireplace if its cold enough. We got the Romance package which was lovely. Champagne and Truffles, and $50 gift card to a local Restaurant. The river view is limited because of all the trees but there is a path you can walk along to enjoy the river. We enjoyed our champagne and wine on our private deck each afternoon/evening. Full Breakfast included each morning. Happy hour small bites each afternoon and cookies served warm from the oven each night. It was just what we were looking for to celebrate our anniversary.
We had read an article from the New York Times stating that the iconic Weasku Inn was offering special deals so we decided to try it out. It was a good decision. They have separate cozy cabins and it was modern and clean and very comfortable. The grounds were full of trees and they offer a very good buffet breakfast. Its peaceful and the main lodge had pictures of past visitors such as Clark Gable and his wife Carol Lombard. They also had marshmallow treats that you could roast by the fire but bring some bug spray because they do have a lot of mosquitoes that tend to come out at dusk because the Inn in right by the Russian River. General manager Paula and her staff are amazing. They all provided professional courteous and friendly help and it is well worth going to stay at this hotel in Grant's Pass Oregon. I highly recommend this hotel. Its well worth a visit.
Great accommodations and atmosphere
Very pleasantly surprised at this rustic place a few miles out of town on the Rogue river. We had a second story room in the main building with a private entrance and a deck that overlooked a pond and the grounds. The room was nicely appointed with one of the most comfortable beds we had slept in in a long time. They have appetizers between 4:30 and 6 which were quite tasty and just enough so we didn't have to go looking for dinner. The breakfast was good but we had two minor complaints, the food that was supposed to be hot was just warm and all of the selections were not out at the time that was shown on the schedule. Otherwise it is a delightful place to stay and we will definitely be back.
Wish we could have stayed longer
The inn is very charming and has serene grounds. We had the room in the main building with a private entrance and balcony. The view from the room was like being in a tree house with lots of pine trees, a pond and the Rogue River in the distance. The room itself was very clean and spacious. The Wi-Fi worked well. There's a short path down to the Rogue River which has a walking path along the river for a few miles. We took a very relaxing stroll along the river and arrived back in time for free afternoon hors d'oeuvres which were basically quesadillas and a vegetable platter. Later we ate the free evening cookies outside by the fire pit. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, waffles, yogurt, etc. The food was mediocre and the only disappointment. The food wasn't bad, it just didn't match the high caliber of the inn. The staff was very friendly and professional. I've stayed at several other comparably priced hotels in Grant's Pass and none of them were anything special. On the other hand, the Weasku is true gem.
Not so romanic getaway
Had a less than great experience at the Weasku Inn, the service was very good and the room was more than adequate in a historic lodge. I chose the "romantic package" that included a bottle of sparkling wine and a $50.00 dinner voucher at our choice of three restaurants. We chose a French restaurant in Grants Pass, about 20 minutes away. We arrived looking forward to the dinner part of our little romanic get away only to find it was closed on Mondays. We ended up having a bite in a coffee shop. We are very forgiving and understanding people and know that things do go wrong. They couldn't put through a credit but I was told they would put it through the day we left. I got an email advising that a $50.00 credit was put through. If this was a business trip and I was by my self I would have been happy with the $50.00 but this put a real damper on our little get away. If it was my business I would have done some thing a little more than the $50.00. It is such a great spot I would still recommend them but many people wouldn't My email to the manager Good morning Paula, Our other wise lovely stay at your hotel didn't go as planned or as described. We checked in and was given the choice of three near by restaurants to use the $50.00 card at as part of the "Romantic Package". We chose, The Twisted Cork only to find it was closed on Mondays, it was getting late and we were hungry so we ended up having a bite in a coffee shop. Our Romantic Package did not turn out as planned, your staff are very nice and helpful and truly felt badly about it.
