Amazing
The property, the amenities, and personal touches made our night away a wonderful experience. The staff did an amazing job, and my wife loved the huge tub in room 5. We will definitely recommend this place to our friends and we'll be back on future trips.

Charming, well-appointed & convenient
This cozy B&B was perfect for our couples getaway. I loved the high quality room amenities & delivered breakfast. It was very private with beautiful views. We didn’t get to experience the grounds much as it was raining during our stay and the barn was under construction, but Would 100% stay here again.

Phenomenal
First time to Oregon and this was an incredible stop on our trip. We would actually consider making another trip out west just to stay at this spot. Extremely close to downtown Newberg and to George Fox University- which is what we were looking for.

Very Overpriced for the Reality
My hunch is that the regular manager was on vacation during our stay in August, as other reviews mention staff who were not there during our visit. The fellow who was there seemed much more familiar with the Napa property than with the Willamette area. Our room was spacious, attractive and clean, but not worth the $908 per night which we were charged. For that price, one expects close to perfection in a rural inn. Prior to our stay, we asked about suggestions for wine tasting. We received an email indicating they would be forthcoming, but there was no follow through on this. The breakfast was good with pastries and fruit, but it would have been nice to have been served some butter and some protein, as well, yoghurt, perhaps. And instead of sticking a plastic bottle of half and half on the table by the coffee when we asked for something other than artificial creamer, placing it in a pitcher would have been nice. Also, we tried to enjoy some wine and cheese, which we purchased locally, one evening on the deck, but were driven inside by a swarm of yellow jackets. At that time, it seemed like the air conditioning was not turned down enough in the common room given the 87 degree outside temperature. The service overall felt indifferent. I had problems working the coffee machine in my room (my fault), but couldn’t find anyone around at 7:30 a.m.. We also were unclear when and where wine and cheese were served in the afternoon/evening, as mentioned upon arrival. Maybe this could have been written down somewhere in the rooms. Also, a listing of recommended restaurants in the area would have been appreciated. There also was a strong sulphur smell emanating from the faucet in our bathroom, which we were told came from the well water (that’s excusable in a country inn). But I had a bigger problem with the design of the bed: the mattress sat on a platform which extended 6 inches outside all sides of the mattress. I bumped into a sharp corner one night and took a big gash out of my leg. So all in all, we were less than impressed with our stay, an opinion shared by another couple with whom we traveled. Maybe at half the price we would have been more forgiving.

Wonderful Boutique Hotel Experience!
We loved everything about The Setting Inn! If you like small, boutique hotels, this is your place. They have well-appointed rooms, attentive service, great views, and are centrally located to all the best wineries and restaurants. We will definitely stay here again.
