We are nestled at the base of Andrews rim (14 miles north of Fields on east Steens Road) with sweeping views of the Alvord Desert, Steens Mountain, Alvord Peaks, Pueblo Mountain and the Trout Mountains. Area recreation includes hiking, hunting, photography, rock- hounding, hot springs dipping, fishing, star gazing, bird watching, sight seeing, opal digging and wildflower/wildlife viewing. The Alvord Desert is a delight for land sailors, kite flyers and balloonists. Enjoy a spacious two-bedroom cabin with a large private bath, fully-equipped kitchen (complete with dishes and utensils) and roomy living area – all decorated in western lodge – style. Each room includes a ceiling fan and separate heater.
