The hosts were gracious and helpful. Lea arranged 4 very unique wine visits that we would never have found on our own. The breakfast was wonderful and we loved the use of all fresh, local ingredients.
LONG OVERDUE review
This review is LONG OVERDUE…. My husband and I stayed at Le Puy in the Heaven suite over a long weekend this past August. We couldn’t have chosen a better place! The grounds are amazing, the house is wonderful and Lea and Andy truly work to ensure you have a fantastic visit! If you are looking for a romantic get-away, then Le Puy is your place because the tranquility of this cozy, immaculately-kept B&B is perfect. From what we saw, there really isn’t a bad room – just depends on what particulars you are looking for over your stay. Heaven is on the ground level, has a fabulous layout and was quiet and beyond comfortable. The breakfasts that Andy cooks up each morning are delicious and provide a great base for a long day of wine tastings. From our perspective, the Newberg location of Le Puy is perfect if you are visiting for Willamette Valley wine country. Two of our favorite things from our trip were Recipe Part Duex (Recipe the main restaurant had not yet re-opened from the fire) along with the Colene Clemens winery. Do yourself a favor, if you are visiting Willamette Valley, stay at Le Puy – it is worth every penny!
Romantic Winter Weekend Getaway
Our recent visit, a Christmas gift from my husband, was sheer bliss...From the lovely grounds, tastefully appointed room, complete with covered seating area, 2 person hot tub, and local wine and goodie basket to the delectable breakfasts prepared by our gracious and knowledgeable hosts, Lea and Andy. Despite being locals, we took advantage of Lea’s extensive knowledge of the area wineries and other attractions with her suggestions for our weekend explorations, and were thoroughly delighted. If you are searching for a beautiful, serene place to call “home away from home”, in the heart of wine country Le Puy would be my choice. Again, thank you Lea & Andy P.S. Can’t wait to visit again and don’t be surprised if I stop by to say “hi” since I just work a mile down the road A bientôt
Top Shelf in every respect !
Not much more to add from the balance of what others have said. Lea and Andy are extremely gracious hosts and run a first class operation. We had never been to the area and they assist you with your daily itinerary if needed. Stayed in Lake room and were extremely satisfied. Purchased more wine than we anticipated and Andy provided box/packaging to assist in getting it home. Top notch - highly recommend !
Comfort, Convenience, and Service!
My wife and I celebrated part of our honeymoon at Le Puy so we could enjoy Oregon wine country. The Inn was very well maintained all around, from the grounds to the rooms to the common areas. The hosts, Andy & Lea, are kind and accommodating. Thank you for being part of our life, Le Puy!
