The Alexander room was perfect!

I surprised my wife with this stay because she always wanted a room with a clawfoot tub. Well this room was perfect! Her face reaction was priceless when she saw it. The room was small but very cozy. It has that old Victorian look. The bed was extremely comfortable as well. Mary, at the front desk was very nice and pleasant. The Inn is literally there at the beach which makes it very close to shops and restaurants. It does get very warm in the room as the heater stays on all the times. We slept with the fan and window open. Would stay there again.

What's not to like? They even send specials to our email.

Very nice room. Clean. Friendly staff. Great price. Wonderful location. The bed was too high for me to reach my things on the floor and I am tall...so, if you are short..may want to choose room without four-post bed. Great amenities. Free coffee.

A fun family weekend

Beautiful place to relax and recharge. It's located next to the boardwalk and the ocean, easy walking access to all the fun. I do wish that breakfast was included and that the common area was stocked better, but besides that the staff was accommodating and the room was perfect for us.

A good place for humans

The Gilbert Inn is wonderfully situated right by the beach. It has a real mom and pop feel in an increasingly corporate and mechanical world. I love it because I am an early riser and my companion is not, but I have a very comfy morning drinking coffee and reading a paper in the parlor area until he gets up.

Will be back to try another room

Good experience, the only thing I would change is that the front desk would have let us know that the silver key does not open the front door, only the side! Several other guests seemed to be confused about that during our one-night stay as well. Otherwise, wonderful stay for us and the dogs. Slept great in Addie's room and loved no kids allowed!
