Our family thoroughly enjoyed this tour! Our private van accommodated 6 adults and was expertly driven by Lori and narrated by Karen. We visited Astoria Column and climbed the 164 steps for a lovely panoramic view of Astoria, the Cascade mountains, and the Pacific Ocean. We briefly toured the Flavel House Gardens, then went on to Fort Stevens State Park. There, we saw the remains of the wreck of the “Peter Iredale”, walked the beach, and even waded into the Pacific Ocean!! Lori was so thoughtful and prepared; she even had a fresh washcloth to clean our sandy toes when we returned to our van! (“above and beyond”!!!) Next on our agenda was Cannon Beach, where we enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Wayfarer’s Inn overlooking “Haystack Rock”. This is an amazingly huge natural wonder—- 235 feet high and the third largest coastal monolithic formation on earth!!!! Who knew??!! Finally, we wrapped up our tour at the Columbia River Maritime Museum; and easily could have spent more time there. We found Lori and Karen to be knowledgeable, fun, and flexible. Their enthusiasm made us appreciate all the sites and learn at the same time. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!
My partner and I had an absolutely fabulous time on a private tour with Lori. Lori was extremely gracious, fun, and made our tour delightful! I highly recommend using her services!
We met Lori Beth when we came off the ship. She took us on a great tour of Astoria and the surrounding areas. She is a fantastic guide! She took us to Astoria Column, Fort Clatsop, Cannon Beach, Wreck of the Peter Iredale, Megler Bridge (also to the Washington side) and a tour of the Astoria Riverfront. We wanted to primarily do photography and be outdoors. Lor’s Tours is very customizable and she is willing to go the “extra mile” to please her group. We are ready to go back!
I worked with Lori of Lor's Tours via email to set up a private tour for 8 couples who were traveling to the Oregon coast for the first time. Lori couldn't have been more helpful or responsive. She made several suggestions for sites and customized our itinerary our our interests and activity level. On the day of the tour she picked us up at the house we were staying at in Cannon Beach and we were off on a very enjoyable journey. Lori was so accomodating and great to be with, I can highly recommend her service.
We contacted Lori Kulp for a tour of the Astoria, Oregeon area when we couldn't find a tour from our cruise ship. There were sights that we wanted to see that weren't available from the ship. Lori did not disappoint! Her knowledge of the Astoria area is remarkable. She knows her history and the stories behind all the sights that we wanted to see. Her tour of the Astoria area was the best tour that we had on our cruise. Would we hire her again? YES, ABSOLUTELY!
