Booked for October 10th. Paid a deposit. Got a call night before canceling ride and offering refund. Gave them every opportunity to refund me. Voicemail full, ignoring emails. Lost my deposit but I can save others. Don’t waste your money!
I do not recommend booking with Green Acres Beach and Trail rides. My wife and I drove over two hours for our ride, only for us to sit around for 15 minutes waiting for our check in. Nobody showed up so we checked our emails to make sure we had the time and date correct which we did. We called to get some information and nobody answered. We finally got a call six minutes before our ride was scheduled to start, telling us that the guide just couldn’t make it today because of an issue with their horse trailer. It seems horribly disrespectful of our time to give us a forty-three second phone call offering us a refund and when we started to ask if we could reschedule they hung up. It astounds me that a business offering horse rides would have only one trailer to haul their animals.
Don't Listen to any negative reviews about this place!!! Every part of this experience was outstanding! From start to finish everything was professional, fun and safe. The horses were great! The instructor was very knowledgeable and fun. It was a perfect experience and made for a great day. I highly recommend this tour for anyone, you won't be disappointed. If you write a bad review about this place I would say take a good look at yourself, that's were you will find the real problem.
We booked our trip the day before we arrived in town. It was easy booking the excursions online and they were ready for us when we arrived. We had a 3:00 hour long ride scheduled, but check-in didn’t being until 3:15. The staff were very nice and attentive. I indicated that my son and I were both beginner/ intermediate riders and it appeared as if the horses were selected according to riding experience. As soon as he got on the horse, he was told that his horse was misbehaved and didn’t follow commands well. Therefore, a staff member had to attach a rope to his horse and hold the rope tightly throughout the entire ride. The horse was completely misbehaved and was terrified of the ocean water. Every time the tide crept up to the horse’s hooves, the horse would totally freak out and jolt in the opposite direction. As his mother, this was quite frightening to watch. It was a long. hour. The ride was pretty, but I’m concerned about the training of the horses.
