Deadline Falls is the largest of several small cascades where the North Umpqua River cascades over and through small outcrops of basalt riverbed. The falls are not very impressive at all, and wouldn't usually be an attraction in this neck of the woods, except for the high likelihood of seeing large Salmon leaping the falls as they migrate upstream.
