Springfield is often mentioned in the same breath as Eugene, the two cities forming the state’s second-largest metro area. Oregon Film Tour: “Animal House”

At 755 East 11th Avenue in Eugene, an unassuming plaque sits on the sidewalk in front of the Oregon Foot & Ankle Center. Here, the plaque notes, once stood the home of noted pioneer settlers A.W. and Amanda Patterson. Almost as an afterthought, the last two lines read: “In the 1950s and 1960s, the house… More

Move over, Beervana. Eugene is embracing its newish identity as Brew-gene! While no other city in the world can compete with Portland’s saturation of suds, what’s bubbling up in the Eugene area is worth raising a glass to. There is a reason why Eugene is called TrackTown USA. It’s the home of Nike’s beginnings, the famous Hayward Field, the last home of the celebrated Steve Prefontaine and the host of the Olympic Trials. But track and field is not the only thing Eugene has to offer. Be sure to check out all the things Eugene has to offer during your trip, especially those off the track. More

Oregon Ducks Tailgating Guide

Is it really football without a tailgate party? Not in my book! In my travels to watch college football, I’ve learned that the Oregon Ducks fans take game-watching and tailgating to new heights. Eugene’s Autzen Stadium has, in fact, been consistently rated as one of the best places in the U.S. to enjoy a football game (and a tailgate party). More

Eugene’s Delta Ponds Wetlands

Living in Eugene, Oregon, I frequently visit our city’s star wildlife area, the Delta Ponds wetlands. Until recently, these ponds close to the Willamette River were known mainly for their stagnant pools and massive blackberry thickets. Sip & Savor Oregon Wine Month

Nowadays, you can go almost anywhere in the state and enjoy a glass of Oregon wine with your locally sourced meal.
