About the Author

Willie Levenson

Willie Levenson is ringleader of the not-for-profit organization, Human Access Project (HAP), whose mission is to transform Portland's relationship with the Willamette River and help people get into the river. With Willie's guidance, HAP has organized Portland's The Big Float, the River Hugger Swim Team and several major clean-up initiatives to reimagine downtown beaches. Willie is also co-owner of Popina Swimwear in Portland.
